Lay-off, illness, divorce, underemployment and low-income all pose a threat to family and financial stability. This program works with families and individuals to develop strategies toward recovery from or to prevent financial difficulties.
Individual sessions provide information on budgeting, money management, credit education, decision-making, determining wants and needs, prioritizing expenses, goal-setting, understanding a credit report, avoiding predatory lenders, identity theft education, and establishing a savings plan.
Group education is also available and can be tailored to meet your group's interest and needs. In 2009, 729 people received financial literacy education, through individual or group sessions.
